What to Expect?
As a husband-and-wife team, we co-founded Friendly Islands Kava to bring the tradition of Tongan kava to North Idaho. At our outdoor kava bar in the Post Falls Pavilion, we’ve created a welcoming space where people can relax, connect, and experience the culture we’re passionate about sharing.
Kava has always been more than a drink—it’s about community, ceremony, and conversation. We prepare it the traditional way, honoring its Polynesian roots while inviting everyone, whether new to kava or longtime drinkers, to join us in the experience.
Together, we’ve built Friendly Islands Kava as both a gathering place and a cultural bridge. From daily service to our weekend kava sessions, our goal is to slow things down and create moments of connection—one shell at a time.
Friendly Islands Kava is our shared vision: a family-run space that celebrates tradition, fosters community, and welcomes everyone to the circle.
